Changes in Operating Hours for Onsite Pantry: Supporting Families
What is changing?
Beginning on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Sanad Food Pantry’s hours will change.
NEW Hours:
- Wednesdays from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
- Thursdays from 12:00-6:00 PM
- Fridays from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Also on April 12, we will check in shoppers inside the Feeding Families pantry lobby. To make everyone more comfortable, we will limit the number of families in the waiting area using a new and improved number system.
- If you arrive before the pantry opens at 9:00 AM (or 12:00 PM on Thursdays), please line up in your cars by the check in booths in the parking lot.
- A CFS staff member or volunteer will come by to hand you a number.
- Once we give you the go-ahead, please park and head inside to get checked-in for shopping.
- If you arrive after we have opened and there is no line of cars, please park in the parking lot and come inside the lobby to grab your number.

No-Cost Groceries for People Living in Chicago
Sanad firmly believes that everyone should have access to nourishing, wholesome food, and that includes you. If you or your family are in need of food, our Chicago pantry is open to you, providing free groceries, including fresh produce, milk, and essential pantry items, once a week.
From the moment you step through our doors, our dedicated staff and volunteers are here to assist you, whether it’s helping your children find a tasty snack or simply being a friendly face to chat with!
