HOW SANAD PANTRY WORKS

We are ensuring that those in need receive healthy, nutritious food.

What is a Food Bank?

At Sanad Pantry, our efforts extend beyond direct food provision to families, seniors, students, and others. We also serve as a central hub, annually delivering millions of pounds of food to local partners, thereby reaching individuals in their respective communities.

Donated Food

Our efforts extend beyond direct food provision to families, seniors, students, and others. Our objective is to annually distribute 10 million pounds of food.

Food Recovery

Sanad Pantry engages in food recovery, rescuing safe and surplus food from being discarded, redirecting it to provide nourishment to those facing hunger challenges. Our donations come from a range of sources, including retail grocers, farmers, producers, distributors, and foodservice operators, contributing items that may not be economically viable for sale, nearing their expiration date, excess stock, seasonal items, or with cosmetic imperfections.

Is the Food Healthy?

Our objective is to annually distribute 10 million pounds of food, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. We prioritize providing a minimum of 75% of our distribution as fresh produce or high-protein items, such as dairy, meat, and peanut butter.
