Housing Services

What is it?

Comprehensive housing counseling services offer information, education, and guidance to prospective homebuyers, current homeowners, renters, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Our homeless counseling services may involve close collaboration with other partners to facilitate the swift transition of homeless male veterans and individuals into the joint transitional/rapid re-housing program.

How does it help?

Participants receive personalized assistance in discovering innovative strategies to secure or maintain affordable housing, gaining insights into fair housing rights, preventing displacement, acquiring knowledge about budgeting and credit management, and resolving conflicts between homeowners and lenders, as well as renters and landlords.

How does it work?

If you are facing challenges with paying your mortgage loan, rent, or experiencing homelessness, assistance is available. HUD-approved housing counselors are specially trained and government-certified to equip current and potential homeowners, renters, and individuals experiencing homelessness with the tools needed to make informed decisions regarding their housing needs, considering their financial circumstances.

What do I need to do?

CEDA’s team of HUD-certified Housing Counselors stands ready to provide support in various areas, including foreclosure prevention, pre-purchase and post-purchase counseling, rental guidance, and financial counseling. We are also equipped to determine eligibility for new COVID-19 rent/mortgage relief programs. Collaboratively, we can engage with any lender to explore potential solutions.
