How to Get Started as a New Volunteer
Step 1: Create a Volunteer Profile online.
Step 2: Watch our volunteer orientation video and safety video to learn about volunteer opportunities and how to keep yourself, others, and our food safe!
- Volunteering with your family We require each family member to have their own separate profile, regardless of age. You may use the same email address for multiple family members’ profiles, but please create unique usernames for each individual.
Step 3: Schedule your first volunteer shift.
- View the calendar of open shifts to sign up for an opportunity. You may alternate between list or calendar view.
- Click on a particular date to view a list of available shifts and tasks. Please read descriptions carefully to check for age requirements, lifting restrictions, and other important details.
- When you’re ready to commit to a shift, click, “Sign Up.”
Age Eligibility
We accept volunteers ages 12+ years, with proper adult supervision. Families looking to volunteer with children under 16 years of age should sign up for “Daily Warehouse Activities” and other seasonal opportunities like “Family Volunteer Days” or fund and food drive events. Remember to sign each member of your family up in their own separate profile.

Schedule & Tasks
Volunteer shifts for individuals and families are offered on weekdays between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM. We have many tasks for volunteers to choose from: please see below for detailed descriptions.
