GROUPS

Volunteer as a Group at Sanad Food Pantry

We sincerely appreciate your interest in group volunteering with us!

Currently, we are facing some capacity constraints that prevent us from hosting our usual warehouse volunteer opportunities for groups. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and eagerly anticipate resuming our full project schedule in the near future. If you would like to schedule a repackaging or warehouse project with us, please reach out again in July via email at [email protected].

In the interim, we still have openings for small groups to participate at our farm and pantry. These opportunities are open to the public and can often accommodate small groups alongside our regular volunteers.

We deeply appreciate your support and partnership. We regret the temporary reduction in capacity for group warehouse projects and hope to offer our usual projects again soon.

Schedule

Group volunteer shifts typically last 2-3 hours and are available on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Onsite Activities

The scope of group activities depends on our current requirements. Teams typically assist with tasks such as sorting produce, canned goods, or refrigerated foods; restocking pantry shelves; repackaging foods; and maintaining a clean, food-safe facility.

Offsite Activities: Gardening & Gleaning (Seasonal)

Engage in outdoor activities at gardens and farms throughout Chicago. Contribute to planting and harvesting fresh produce destined for Sanad Pantry. These opportunities are seasonal, offered on weekdays, and occasionally on weekends. To check availability, please contact our volunteer team at (303) 652-3663.

Location

Sanad Pantry warehouse is in Chicago. Address is 3302 W 63rd St, Chicago, IL 60629, United States.
